The Quenedit Ballet School Day Program is an immersive, highly intensive training experience designed for serious, dedicated dancers aged 10–21 committed to reaching the professional level. This program is not just about daily classes—it’s about fostering the technical mastery and artistic maturity required for a successful career in dance, including preparation for advanced collegiate study.
What to Expect
Our rigorous daily schedule combines core classical training with specialized, comprehensive development:
- Rigorous Daily Ballet Classes: Refine your classical technique and performance skills under professional guidance.
- Pointe/Pre-Pointe: Intensive focus on developing the strength and artistry of pointe work.
- Character Dance: Master the European folk dances and stylistic techniques essential for major classical works (e.g., Swan Lake, Giselle). This unique, career-focused training is a rare and invaluable asset in the U.S.
- Contemporary Dance: Expand your versatility, range of motion, and expressive capabilities.
- Targeted Conditioning: Build strength, flexibility, and endurance through supplementary classes like Stretch/Strength and Progressive Ballet Technique (PBT).

Students train under the direct guidance of Directors Ernesto Quenedit & Catalina Garza, former Principal Dancers of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, alongside an expert faculty of seasoned professional dancers. Our faculty brings invaluable, real-world knowledge and experience into the studio, preparing students to:
- Master challenging variations and classical repertoire.
- Gain professional stage experience by participating in San Antonio Dance (SADance) Company productions, including The Nutcracker, the San Antonio Dance Festival, and a Summer Performance.
- Develop the discipline and resilience demanded by the professional world.
- Prepare for collegiate dance programs (major or minor degree) and professional careers, including auditions and competitive opportunities.
