Youth (Ages 8-12)

Students progress in technical skills and artistry through structured training in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and acro. They will work on flexibility, strength, and musicality while learning age-appropriate choreography. Additionally, specialty classes help enhance coordination, stamina, and expression, preparing them for more advanced movement sequences and styles.

Ages 8-11 – Two classes per week required

Ballet 1

Designed for beginners with little to no ballet training, this class introduces formal ballet structure, including barre work, alignment, stretching, coordination, and basic locomotion exercises. Students learn 1st, 2nd, and 3rd foot positions, along with introductory arm positions. Placement is determined by QBS Directors.

At this young age progress varies based on the individual student.  Please note that it may be necessary for students to stay at this level for two years.

Saturday: 11:00-12:30 AM

Ages 9 & up = two classes per week required

Ballet 1 Advanced

For students who have completed one or two years of Ballet 1 at QBS and meet the age requirement of 9 or older. This level builds on fundamental technique with increased focus on alignment, turnout, and vocabulary. Fourth position for the feet is introduced, and technical execution is refined.

(Ages 8-12)

Ballet 2

Three classes per week required

Students entering Ballet 2 must be familiar with ballet posture, placement, and positions. This level reinforces fundamentals while introducing more advanced technique, leg and foot strength, port de bras coordination, turn preparation, and jumps on one or two legs. Training at this level builds a foundation for future pointe work.

Ballet 3

Three classes per week required 

Students continue refining technique, body coordination, and movement execution. More complex combinations and body positions are introduced, along with epaulement (shoulder, head, and neck placement) and advanced jumps. Some students begin pointe work, strictly by QBS Directors’ recommendation.

Wednesday: 6:00-7:30 PM
Thursday: 6:00-7:30 PM

(Ages 7-12)    

Jazz 1

Designed for students new to jazz or those continuing from Pre-Jazz, this class builds on fundamental jazz techniques. Dancers will focus on isolations, basic turns, leaps, and introductory jazz combinations. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, strength, and rhythm while introducing performance quality.

Wednesday: 4:00-5:00 PM

(Ages 7-12)    

Jazz 2

This level is for dancers with prior jazz training who have mastered foundational skills and are ready to advance. Students will work on more complex movement patterns, turns, and leaps, while developing dynamic performance skills. Focus is placed on increased musicality, strength, and precision in movement.

Commercial Dance 1

From viral moves to music video grooves, Commercial Dance is your backstage pass to the hottest trends in today’s dance scene. This high-energy class blends elements of hip hop, jazz funk, and pop choreography, drawing inspiration from the latest music videos, concert tours, and social media sensations—including TikTok dance trends.

Students will build versatility, musicality, and stage presence while learning original choreography set to current hits. Emphasis is placed on performance quality, precision, and having fun with movement that’s fresh, dynamic, and always in style.

Perfect for dancers who love to move, express themselves, and stay in tune with what’s trending in the dance world!

Contemporary 1

Designed for dancers who are new to contemporary movement, this class introduces fundamental techniques, floor work, and dynamic movement phrases. Students will explore spatial awareness, breath control, and expressive qualities to build a strong foundation in contemporary dance.

Thursday: 6:00-7:00 PM

Teens (Ages 13-17)

Contemporary 2

This intermediate-level class expands on foundational skills by incorporating more complex movement patterns, increased use of weight shifts, and deeper artistic expression. Dancers will work on refining their technique, improving fluidity, and exploring improvisational exercises to enhance creativity.

Hip Hop 1

This class is for students new to hip hop or those continuing from Pre-Hip Hop. Dancers will learn foundational hip hop moves, grooves, and footwork while working on strength, coordination, and musicality. Emphasis is placed on developing a strong base in hip hop style and self-expression.

Hip Hop 2 -3

For students with prior hip hop experience, this level builds on foundational skills with more intricate footwork, musicality, and coordination exercises. Dancers will explore different hip hop styles, including popping, locking, and basic breaking, while working on performance quality and confidence.

Ages 6-10

Breakdance

An action-packed class designed for energetic young boys eager to learn the fundamentals of breakdancing! This class focuses on strength, coordination, musicality, and foundational moves like top rocks, footwork, and freezes. Through fun drills and dynamic exercises, dancers will build confidence, creativity, and athleticism in a supportive and engaging environment. Perfect for boys who love to move, groove, and express themselves!

Ages 6-10

Rhythmic Dance Fusion

Travel the world through dance! This exciting class blends styles like Belly Dance and Latin dance, creating a unique fusion of movement and rhythm. Perfect for kids ages 6-10, whether beginners or experienced dancers, ready to explore new styles and have fun!

Ages 8 & Up

Acro

Our Acro class is perfect for young dancers who love to move, tumble, and explore their physical abilities in a fun and safe environment. This class combines basic acrobatic skills like rolls, bridges, and handstands with the beauty and technique of dance. Students build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence—all while learning to move gracefully and safely through exciting skills designed for their age and level.

Flexibility Fusion

A fun and dynamic class for dancers ages 6-19, focusing on contemporary, jazz, and modern dance. Dancers will build strength, flexibility, and coordination while learning acro tricks and tumbling skills in a supportive environment. Join us to enhance your technique, creativity, and love for movement!
