School Overview
  • Quenedit Ballet School (QBS) has a rich history that began with its establishment in San Antonio in 2010 by the visionary artistic directors, Catalina Garza and Ernesto Quenedit. Since its inception, QBS has been committed to providing world-class dance training to students of all ages, starting from three-year-olds to adults.

Catalina and Ernesto, both passionate and dedicated educators, have played a pivotal role in shaping the dance program at QBS. Their profound love for dance serves as a driving force behind their mission to nurture and inspire students in a safe and supportive environment. Over the years, their unwavering focus on fostering strength, flexibility, and musicality has resulted in remarkable progress for every student enrolled in the school.

Quenedit Ballet School teaches the Cuban ballet technique which is known for its strong technique and fast footwork. It encompasses the long extensions and strength from Russian technique, fast footwork from Italian technique, and head and arm movements from French technique. However; at QBS, dance education goes beyond technical training; it is about instilling a passion for dance and encouraging artistic expression. The diverse curriculum offered by the school reflects this commitment, ensuring that students not only become skilled dancers but also develop a deep appreciation for the art form.

The success of QBS is a testament to the remarkable achievements of its students, and the school takes pride in celebrating their accomplishments. Through the years, the faculty at QBS has worked tirelessly to create a nurturing and empowering atmosphere that allows students to flourish.

School Policies
  • For students aged 8 and above, an evaluation for placement is required, which incurs a $25 fee. Once the appropriate level is determined, standard registration fees and hourly rates apply. Full payment of tuition and registration fees is required at the time of registration to secure placement in a class.
  • Annual Registration Fee: Every student, upon enrollment, must pay a registration fee of $40.00 for each academic year. The registration fee is valid for one academic year and applies to consecutive terms within that period. Should a student take time off during the academic year and wish to return, a re-enrollment fee will be required to reactivate their enrollment status.
  • Family rates are available to families with more than one child enrolled in classes. The student in the highest level or taking the most hours will pay full tuition. Each additional child will receive a 10% discount on tuition.
  • Tuition Terms: Tuition payments are non-refundable and cannot be transferred or extended. Credits for missed classes are only given in the event of studio-cancelled classes. Parents are responsible for keeping track of payment due dates which are listed on the school calendar.
  • Late Tuition: Payment is considered late if not received within six days after the due date. A late fee of $20 per child will be charged during the second week of the term, increasing by $10 each subsequent week. Failure to pay tuition after the second week of the term will result in the student being unable to participate in classes until payment is received.
  • For those planning to participate in the end of the year performance, full payment of term 10 tuition is required to be eligible for the performance and to receive costumes.

Withdrawal Policies

We aim for transparency and clarity in our policies to ensure a smooth experience for all involved. Please let us know if you need any further clarification or assistance.

Withdrawal Policy

At Quenedit Ballet School, we’re dedicated to providing a comprehensive dance education. We encourage a full school year commitment for the best learning experience. However, we understand that circumstances may change. If your student needs to withdraw, please follow this policy:

  1. Written Notice: You must provide written notice to the school at least fourteen (14) days before your student’s last class. This notice should clearly state the student’s name and the date of their intended withdrawal. You can submit this notice via email to info@queneditdance.com or at the front desk.
  2. Tuition Responsibility:
  • Tuition Due at Withdrawal: You are responsible for all tuition payments up to and including the date Quenedit Ballet School receives your written withdrawal notice.
  • Withdrawal Before Payment: If your student begins a term and then withdraws before making any payments for that term, you are still responsible for the full tuition.
  1. Payments: All tuition payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. This means that any payments made before the withdrawal date will not be refunded or applied to another student or class.
  2. Agreement: By enrolling your child, you agree to this withdrawal policy.

Missed Classes & Make-Up Policy

We understand that sometimes life happens, and classes may be missed! If your dancer needs to make up a class, they can do so within the same term it was missed. If a class at the same level isn’t available, feel free to check with the front desk—we’re happy to help find the best option.

We also encourage dancers to explore other dance styles as a fun and enriching way to make up for a missed class! However, please note that missed class credits cannot be transferred to future tuition or extended unless the class was canceled by Quenedit Ballet School.

If you have any questions, just let us know—we’re here to help!
